Temperature Logging made easy and affordable for even the smallest business Forget the thermometer and the clipboard when it comes to keeping track of temperature in your establishment. Alfa-Tek Australia is offering you a solution that not so long ago would have set you back thousands. Thanks to technology advances you can now afford to do this accurately, reliably and at a more than reasonable cost. The Problem: To keep track of temperature in your refrigerators, freezers, chillers, transported perishables or just wanting to know that your heating and cooling are doing the right things used to require some pretty diligent effort with thermometers and paper. Many authorities now require establishments producing things that humans eat and drink to be carefully monitored during production, storage and sale. It can be very tedious to comply with such requirements but failure to do so can bring fines or worse still a tarnished reputation if sub standard products hit the market. Its not worth the risk to be unaware and being on top of it certainly enhances the chances in the marketplace. The Solution: Temperature Only The Junior Thermochron Starter kit from Alfa-Tek Australia provides a full featured temperature data logger that takes up to 2048 data and time stamped temperature readings with a PC interface and free software so that you can store that information and view graphs of temperature against time. You can also display/save the information as a histogram. With a resolution of 0.5 degree Celsius and user set sample time from 1 minute to over four hours this setup meets most current requirements. For example with a half hour time between samples a Thermochron placed in a freezer will collect up to three weeks of data before it requires unloading. Optionally it can be set to roll-over and provide a window of data for the last three weeks by overwriting the oldest samples. The temperature measurement range is from -40 degree to +85 degrees Celsius. Temperature with Extended Memory and higher resolution The Professional Thermochron Starter kit has all of the above and includes the ExpressThermo software allowing quick startup and professional quality printed report. Extended range Thermochrons® can be added to this to give measurement from -40 degrees as high as +145 degrees Celsius with resolution to one 0.125 degrees Celsius. Humidity and Temperature The Professional Hygrochron® Starter Kit offers a humidity logger as well as a temperature logger in the same size as the Thermochron and uses the same interface and ExpressThermo software. The Aim: Taking the guesswork out of temperature and humidity recording and having the security that the equipment handling and protecting your valuable perishables is working as it should be is highly desirable. The Thermochron is small enough to be located unobtrusively in the right place to ensure you know what the temperature is in that location.
